Spring on the nose, and some plants it's time to prepare for planting. And what if it is cold? Then the heat-loving culture will perish, and only memories will remain of it. In this case, it is recommended to build a greenhouse.
This structure is being built right on the beds, it will reliably protect against unpleasant surprises of nature.
Daylight through transparent frames made of glass or film, gets inside, plants get enough heat, and they feel great even in freezing temperatures. The difference between a greenhouse and a greenhouse is that the greenhouse is used in spring and summer (in special cases in the fall), and the greenhouse is used all year round.
What are greenhouses?
Before you start building, you need to understand which design is most optimal. Greenhouses are tent with a two-stage and single-stage roof, arched, pyramidal, polygonal, etc.
Each solution is good in its own way. A hip greenhouse, for example, is excellent for protecting large plants. One way or another, you choose. It is recommended not to complicate life, but to use simpler solutions, because the greenhouse is not built for many years, this building is seasonal.
It can be collapsible (which is very convenient) or non-collapsible. In this case, the greenhouse can be equated to a greenhouse, as it is used even in winter. The foundation is also important.
In some cases, it is not envisaged at all, but this approach is not recommended, because over time the structure will lose stability.

Start building a greenhouse
First place is chosen. It should be sunny and without stagnation of water. It is desirable that there are no trees nearby, otherwise their shadow will limit the amount of sunlight. The greenhouse is made oblong, it is located from east to west, and the place is better to choose protected from the wind.
It is possible to warm the soil not only with biofuel (it is written about it in the third section of the article), but also with the help of electricity. In this case, you need a special cable. It is placed on the upper layer of sand in several rows, and sprinkled with earth on top.
It should be noted that when the soil is heated by electricity, the earth dries faster, so you will have to water the seedlings more often. The greenhouse should be located closer to the power source, mainly at the western or southern wall of the house.
We make a wooden greenhouse
In order to make a greenhouse 3000x1050x600 mm, you need to get boards. The optimal size of the blanks is 25x150 mm. Before you make the frame, the lumber is treated with a special impregnation, it will protect the tree from rotting and will prevent the reproduction of fungi and insects.
First, two side walls of 3000x600 mm are made. For one wall you will need 4 boards of 3 meters. They are located close to each other. With a space of 30 mm from the top edge, a cross board is nailed so that it protrudes 200 mm from one edge and 600 mm from the other. In the same way, the construction is fixed by two more transverse boards: in the middle and at the bottom (30 mm indentation is also made below).
By the same principle, the second wall is made. Both designs are mounted vertically. In this case, the protruding parts of 200 mm are located below. There should be a distance of 1050 mm between the shields. Now, below the boards are connected by eight boards (four on each side). In the upper part, three boards of length 1050 mm are joined by protrusions of 600 mm.
It remains to make the roof
This will require 6 boards 550 mm long. On the sides, they are filmed at an angle of 30 ° and installed from the top on 3-meter sides, three pieces each. A common board is inserted between them and fixed with nails. Sharp corners should be grinded so that the polyethylene is not torn. Now it is necessary to paint the frame.
As a coating material, it is better to use a special film. Its optimum thickness is 60-220 microns.

Growing plants in a greenhouse
Before you build a greenhouse, it is important to worry about good soil. First, a small hole is dug in the place where it is planned to install the greenhouse. Its depth should be between 500 mm and 750 mm. As fertilizer, simple manure or sawdust mixed with soil is used. The mixture is laid with a layer height of 400-450 mm, and slightly compacted with forks.
It is not necessary to trample fertilizers, as tightly packed manure heats up poorly, in some cases it just cools. A shallow groove of 100-150 mm is dug in the fertilizer centerline of the greenhouse. Its width should be within 300 mm. For greater effect, biofuels are sprinkled with ashes, and two days later the soil is poured in from above.
The seedling is planted two days after the completion of work on the soil upgrading. Then the soil is already warm, and the roots of the plants can continue to grow. It is necessary to place the seedlings depending on their precocity. If cucumbers are planted, then from 6 to 12 seedlings per one square meter. In the case of a tomato - 2-4 seedlings per square meter. If the fruits are early ripening, then they can be placed more often.
Plants are watered in a greenhouse 1-2 times a week, but only with warm water and just under the root. If the soil moisture is below 70%, then bitterness will appear in the fruit.
Every 10-12 days is made dressing. To do this, make a mixture of chicken litter (proportions 1:12), mullein (1: 8) and slurry (1: 6). In special cases, the components are used separately, but only before the first fruits. It is necessary to control the temperature of the soil, it should be within + 20 ÷ 24 ° C.
With the help of a greenhouse, plants are reliably protected from the cold, they bear fruit faster, develop more intensively, and produce seeds. The main thing is to follow the instructions, and nature knows its business.
