In some regions over the past two weeks, the price of milk has decreased by 20%, so farmers are worried about the possible prospects for a decrease in its price. There are no reasons for such a price reduction, as the processors propose. Although the situation on the world market leaves much to be desired, however, it is not critical - the January export figures of Ukrainian milk are better than last year. As the last GDT trades showed, the decline in the price index for dairy products reaches only 3%. Quotes on February 5 also showed some price cuts. Prices for dairy products in Europe fell by an average of -2%. and for oil (+ 0.2%) and lactose (+ 6.8%) prices even increased. At the same time, we should not forget that milk production in two of the three largest world producers is declining, while imports from China are growing. According to the trend and market conditions are positive. Therefore, price reductions over the past 2 weeks in several regions (-20%) are not justified.
