Description
Zyuznik is a perennial plant, It belongs to the family of Iasotkovy, its Latin name is Lycopus europaeus, which literally means “wolf's legs”. Prefers an area rich in moisture: swamps, meadows, shallow water, coastal areas, but has a high drought tolerance. Loves direct sunlight and partial shade. The height of the stems varies from 25 to 120 cm. The stems are cobbled, tetrahedral, the leaves are oblong, rough to the touch, with jagged edges. In the axils of the leaves are small bright flowers with burgundy interspersing.
The area of the plant is very wide: Zyuznik can be found in most countries of Europe, some countries of East Asia and North America. The flowering period lasts from June to August.
