What is applied against
In rabbit breeding, Amprolium is used to treat the diseases described below.
Coccidosis
The disease affects the digestive system, due to which the absorption of nutrients from the food consumed becomes impossible, provokes blood loss and dehydration of the body. Also, due to coccidosis, the animal’s immunity is greatly reduced, which increases the risk of infection with other infections. With the wrong treatment or lack of it, the animals die.
Trematodosis
The causative agents of trematodoses are trematodes (flukes). These are flat leaf-shaped helminths with two suckers on the body. When trimatodo invasions in rabbits, there is a loss of appetite or, conversely, appetite may increase, but they lose weight, their behavior becomes sluggish.
Rabbitheads should learn how to treat conjunctivitis, pasteurellosis and scabies in rabbits, as well as familiarize yourself with the infectious infectious diseases of rabbits that are transmitted to humans.
The animal may suffer from diarrhea, constipation or constant alternation of these conditions. The hair on the body becomes disheveled and falls out.
Entomoz
Invasive disease caused by ectoparasites, such as fleas, lice, fly larvae, and lashes, which cause sifunculosis on the body of animals. As a result of their vital activity, the parasites cause itching and peeling of the skin, as well as baldness, anemia, and development and growth.
Cestodosis
The disease is caused by cestode larvae that infect the liver of a rabbit, resulting in complications such as peritonitis. Symptoms of this parasitic infection are the sluggish behavior of the animal and the lack of appetite, which leads to a weakening of the body. The death of animals from this disease is quite high.
Eymerioz
Parasitic lesion, which is caused by the simplest genus eimeria. The disease has two forms - intestinal and hepatic, contributes to the depletion of the body and the breakdown of the digestive system. Sick rabbits lose weight, are oppressed, their appetite is disturbed, abdominal distention, diarrhea, yellowness of mucous membranes, cramps, dull and ruffled fur are observed.
Unfortunately, rabbits are prone to fleas just like other animals. We advise you to read about how to properly remove fleas from rabbits.
Because of the pronounced exhaustion, the animals mostly die, and the survivors become carriers of pathogens for 1 month and infect healthy individuals. Coxidia Eimeria-magna under the microscope
Instructions for use
"Amprolium" can be used for the prevention of the diseases described above, as well as for their immediate treatment. Next, we consider two ways to use it.
Important! It must be remembered that the aqueous solution of Amprolium should be the only source of drinking for rabbits during treatment.
With water
To prepare an aqueous solution of Amprolium, you need to act as follows:

Agree that for the normal life of animals just need a good drinkers. Consider all the features of making a drinking bowl for rabbits with your own hands.
Mixing with feed
An alternative to an aqueous solution of Amprolium is the mixing of the drug with feed. To do this, usually use roots, hay, corn or concentrated feed. Next steps:
- Prepare a tank for food of sufficient volume.
- Pour dry food into it - as needed for all animals.
- Add to the food "Amprolium" and mix (1 gram of the drug per 1 kg of feed).
- Feed the animals.
Contraindications
Although Amprolium does not cause side effects in the rabbit, some contraindications to its use do exist:
- the drug should not be used with simultaneous antibiotic therapy or antioxidant;
- individual intolerance to drugs of the furan group;
- hypersensitivity to the drug;
- after 16 weeks of age at maintenance calves;
- renal and hepatic diseases;
- pathologies associated with difficult passage of feces and urine.
In order to properly organize the care and maintenance of eared animals, it is necessary to become familiar with all the subtleties of breeding rabbits at home.
These diseases that rabbits are prone to are quite serious. If we start their treatment in time with the use of the antibacterial drug Amprolium, then the problem can be successfully localized.
