As part of the agronomical meeting initiated by the regional Ministry of Agriculture, a discussion was held on the level of readiness of the Novosibirsk region for the sowing campaign of 2019.
According to the Minister of Agriculture Yevgeny Leshchenko, the farms in 9 districts of the region have already started adding moisture to a total area of 26 thousand hectares. Readiness of the region for sowing is estimated as high.

This year, agricultural enterprises purchased mineral fertilizers and seeds even more than planned. Progress is also noticeable in terms of the acquisition of fuel and lubricants.
The equipment is ready for spring fieldwork in the region by more than 94%. The total number of acreage in the Novosibirsk region according to the plans for spring field work will be 2 million 264 thousand hectares, as told by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Viktor Apanasenko. Since 2018, the sown area of the region has increased by 38 thousand hectares.
