The antimonopoly committee found out that Poltavakonditer PJSC reports false information about the composition of sweets. The company produced candy, which did not contain chocolate, although the labels indicated such information. For this, OJSC "Poltavakonditer" was fined the sum of 34 thousand UAH.
The Poltava regional territorial office of the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine conducted an investigation, as a result of which it was discovered that Poltavakonditer OJSC provides false information regarding the composition of products. The composition of the famous "Dragee Almonds in chocolate from Dominic" and "Dragee Hazelnuts in chocolate from Dominic" does not include cocoa butter at all. As reported, the state-owned enterprise "Poltavastandardmetrologiya" food product that does not contain cocoa butter, is not called "chocolate."
As a result of the investigation, the company was charged with violation of the law on protection against unfair competition, which is stated in Art. 15-1 of the Law of Ukraine "On Protection against Unfair Competition". The company is accused of disseminating misleading information and is obliged to pay a fine in the amount of UAH 34,000. In turn, OJSC Poltavakonditer admitted its guilt in violation of the law.
